About Sharon McDonell
Sharon McDonell is a Canadian Artist who has returned to South Glengarry after 20+ years living & working in Toronto where she worked in the Canadian film industry.
She now paints in her home studio on the Raisin River near Williamstown - returning to Toronto (or Montreal) from time to time, to work on film projects.
Sharon grew up on her ancestral farm in South Glengarry, where she spent long summer days exploring the fields & forests of the family farm, with camera in hand. She developed an early & deep appreciation for the scenery that surrounded her then, and still explores with her camera today.
Sharon has been a member of the Federation of Canadian Artists since 2019. Her paintings have been shown in numerous exhibitions locally, as well as in Toronto. A few of her paintings were also used in the background of some movies & TV series.
